Session number Six

We went back to the backbone trail to catch the sunset but a ridge to the west proved to be higher than i remembered Damn! Still, we did some very different work from the last session. Betcee said she now knew how I photograph outdoors so her poses were less conventional. Then, as we lost the light I did some lovely portraits of a Very beautiful woman!

This is really gorgeous. I love how she seems to be organically growing out of the rock formation, or is it the rock formation that's growing out of her? Great lighting, great texture, great composition. Many congrats.

You're quite welcome, of course. I absolutely love good photographic art. I have high hopes of being able to do it myself someday.

Quick question and totally off topic, how do you know my nickname? Have we met and my brain is falling out my ears? (happens all the time) Did I post it somewhere I don't know about? I don't mind, of course, in fact I'm flattered, but I'm also curious.

All you have to do is dive in!

Shoot as much as you can, Look at as much photography and fine art as you can to learn about composition. I benefitted immensely from living in NYC and having the Metropolitan Museum of Are to visit nearly every weekend for years on end!

"Lily B" is right under your DA moniker up at the top! I'm sure I'd remember meeting you too!

All the best Lily!

<smacks head into keyboard repeatedly> I'm a moron some days. Really, don't pay any attention. I put that up five years ago, you're the first person who's ever seen it and said something, so of course I forgot.

Thanks for the tips! I lived in New Orleans for quite some time, and I'm lucky enough to have *robertsloan2 for a dad, so I'm working on it slowly.

Then it's in your genes!

I'm sure you'll get there!

I love New Orleans! I spent almost a week there back in 1988. Loved it. There's a couple of photos in my gallery from that visit:
